AFA chooses New Administrator
for its Member Insurance Program

Following a nationwide search for a new insurance broker / third-party administrator, the Air & Space Forces Association selected Forrest T. Jones & Company (FTJ) to manage AFA's member insurance program.

FTJ assumed responsibility for the program effective September 1, 2022.

As the third-party administrator for the AFA’s group insurance benefits, FTJ will handle policy issue, billing & collecting, reconciliation, customer service support, and claims administration for those policies. FTJ also will oversee all marketing soliciation activities and manage the AFA Insurance website.

The History of FTJ

FTJ is a private, family owned and run company based in Kansas City, Missouri. It began in 1953 when Forrest and Dorothy Jones moved from Chicago to Kansas City with their two sons, Dick and Bob, to purchase a three-person insurance sales operation.

Since then, Forrest’s namesake company has grown to more than 300 employees at its Kansas City headquarters and in satellite offices located in Chicago, Dallas, San Diego, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.

FTJ also has formed or acquired a number of affiliated companies over the years, including two life and health insurance companies, a reinsurance company, and a property and casualty underwriting company.

Family owned ... and committed to your family

FTJ’s ownership has remained in the family. In 1994, the company passed from founders Forrest and Dorothy Jones to their son, Dick Jones. In 2016, ownership control was transferred to the third generation of Jones family members in brothers Rick Jr., Brad, and Bryce Jones.
